Huxley is a showy, flashy male. He's a tall guy, at 25 inches high and weighs 78lbs. He has an attractive head, with a long, deep muzzle and his dark almond-shaped eyes give him a lovely soft expression. Structurally, he is built quite well and when he moves, he floats. He has a long body and rib cage and a beautiful neck. He could use a bit more angulation in the front and rear, but he is well-balanced and produces better angulation in his offspring. He has a good forechest that he also passes on to his puppies. He has a moderate amount of coat that is of the correct texture. His feet are tight and deep.

Huxley finished his championship at 14 months old by going Best of Winners at a flat-coat booster under English judge Terry Thorn. We showed him a little bit as a special in 2003 and again in 2004. He has had some success and has won four sporting group 1sts and many 2nds, 3rds and 4ths. In both 2004 and 2005, Huxley was the Number 3 Flat-coated Retriever in Canada, with very limited showing. At both the 2002 and 2004 FCRSC specialty shows Huxley has made the final lineup of dogs. In September 2004, Huxley showed in the U.S.A. In just four shows he finished his U.S. championship, with four majors.

Thank-you to Lena Hagglund for trusting us with such a handsome and happy dog!
